A Fighter and A Survivor! The Author of this blog is a Single Mom with an unbreakable passion to LIVE the Life!
I am an IT Project Manager by profession, but a Writer by passion. This blog started as form for me to document my journey through various experiences. The kind of experiences that helped me break out of an abusive relationship, fight hard against depression and start living a positively enriching life with my little boy! That fight took me to various places on our beautiful planet. In short, I am almost a global citizen, who finally settled down in the beautiful east coast of USA.
I found my calling as a serious writer after I participated in NANOWRIMO the first time. As of now, I am working on the finishing touches to my first novel which I hope to publish shortly. Click here to read a synopsis of the novel.
And while I am working hard to complete the first novel, I am also busy conducting research for a second book (no, it is not a series – the second book is totally different from my first. To read a synopsis of the second book, click here).
Being a Single Mom has taught me a lot of lessons, some of which I have enjoyed and others that I learned the hard way. When life hands out a variety of experiences, it is only fair that we share it, this thought has prompted me to start compiling the lessons I learned and am still learning as a Single Mother into an eBook. Stay tuned for more information on that!
I enjoy writing fiction so you will see me participating in various writing challenges. I also host a Limerick Poetry Challenge every week on my blog. You should try it sometime; it is a lot of fun! 🙂
Through this blog, I also want to tell the story of my life, the many different experiences I had on my road to recovery, my relationship with my beautiful little boy who is not so little now (he is 11 as 2019!), my experience being a single parent, my views on the various social issues that everyone is talking about and pretty much everything under the sun! 🙂
Since Change is the only thing that is constant, I will say that this blog’s output is ever changing! With every change, though, I hope to keep you entertained.

Hi Rashmi! I didn’t want to bother you through email, but I noticed a couple of your comments over the last few days have gone to my spam folder and I cannot imagine why. I just wanted to alert you to this in case you’re having this issue on other sites. This happened to me a couple of months ago and I had to contact Akismet directly and it was eventually fixed. But for a few days, my comments everywhere (except my own blog) weren’t posted… they all went to spam!
Feel free to email me if you need more specific info! xo ~sandra

You have a very worthy reasons for setting up your blog. I admire you for it, but also feel a little embarrassed since my own reasons were much more trivial. Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful week. 🙂

Have a wonderful week ahead! Happy New Year! 🙂

My reasons for blogging are actually rather simple. I blog to: a) to express myself freely and openly to the world and b) becoming an international publishing phenomenon and a multibillionaire. So far, I’m having more luck with the first part. I hope you have a wonderful New Year too.

Sorry for the delayed response. For some reason, WP moved your comment to the spam folder and I just realized it!
As for your reasons, I wish you the best to become the next JK Rowling! 😉 Just remember to hire me when you do become a multibillionnaire! 😀

I can’t believe I never read this About You section.
Single parents are often the best parents. None of us ever wanted to be a single parent. We just were.
I thrive on being a parent.
I never used that “Well, I am single parent ” excuse that so many of them have used.
❤

I agree Sarah, Single Parents are awesome! I am so proud to know that you never used the excuse, I dont either. And that is because I feel single parents are no less than married parents!

We aren’t. I am not saying it is the best way of raising a child. Of course it’s not. Two parent parties are usually the best.
Yet, I and I am sure that you, put your child’s needs in front of your own.
We never had to “work ” with a second person.
I never felt that Bobby held me back because he never did.

You are blogging for a noble cause. When we work for others we get a lot of joy. When we wipe tears of those who have been abused or suffered from depression, we start healing ourselves too.
